Following the Pack of Hounds across Brandenburg
Founded in 1991 in Potsdam, the Brandenburger Hunting
Club today is registered at the Gestüt am Pichersee. Since 1992, the association runs more than 10 drag-hunts a year throughout the land of Berlin and Brandenburg.
Today, the BHC can look back on numerous hunts with various packs of hounds. To list some of them: Cappenberger Meute, Wiesenhof
Meute, Beagle-Meute Lübeck, H.W.S.
Meute, Lipperland Meute, Warendorfer Meute,
Frankenmeute, Sauerland Meute, Böhmer-Beagle-Meute,
Geiseltal-Beagle-Meute and the Black Forest
Beagle Meute.
In 1994, the Black Forest Beagle pack went to become the
Brandenburger Meute headed by it's Master Peter Witt. Since 2001 the same pack is managed by Master Hinrich
Mönchmeier. He has successfully continued to breed the Brandenburger Bracke, an "innovation" which has proven to be ideal for local soil conditions. Today, this special breed is being observed with quite some interest by Germany's community of Masters of Hounds.
